This is a used example in very good condition, sold without box. The car carries Shell and Michelin markings and 'Audi Sport North America' lettering, and runs on analog Carrera Evolution track. This Carrera Evolution Audi R8R is the open prototype Audi campaigned in the American Le Mans Series in 2000, finished in silver and black with starting number 78 and the names of F. Biela and E. Pirro beside the cockpit. The Audi R8 #78 (often referred to as the R8R or simply the new R8 LMP) was one of the most dominant racing cars during the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) season of 2000. Deployed by the Audi Sport North America factory team and prepared by Joest Racing, this particular car with starting number 78 played a crucial role in obtaining the driver and constructors title for Audi. Although the car started in 1999 as the "R8R" (Roadster), the fully legendary, redesigned Audi R8 LMP was introduced for the 2000 season. Important details of the #78 ALMS 2000: The Drivers: The car was mainly driven throughout the season by the German Frank Biela and the Italian Emanuele Pirro. Seasonal highlight: The car debuted impressively during the season opener by winning the 12 Hours of Sebring. n.78 took the absolute victory here. 24 Heures du Mans Championship: Thanks to the constant podium spots and victories of the #78 and his sister car (#77), Audi convincingly managed to win the ALMS title that year. Specifications: The car was powered by a 3.6-litre V8 Twin-Turbo engine that produced around 610 hp at the time. What made the car revolutionary at the time was the modular design, allowing mechanics to change a complete gearbox within 5 to 7 minutes during a race.

Unfortunately, the car had to give up prematurely (DNF) due to a defect in the ignition/distribution. 24 hours from Le Mans 1981 (#47): The following year, the exact same chassis (#31589) returned to Le Mans under the Pozzi team, but now with start number #47. This became a historic success: Andruet and Ballot-Léna sent the car to 5th place overall and took the victory in the IMSA GTX class. American adventure: At the end of 1981, the car was sold to the US, where he competed in legendary races such as the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring in the years '82 to '84. Where is it now? Today, chassis #31589 is an extremely valuable and sought-after collectible. The car was completely restored to its winning IMSA specifications and livery of 1981 (starting number 47). Offered without its box, this used Fly Ferrari 512 #3 has a vivid red open-top body. Shell and Pirelli markings sit alongside the gold wheels. Light handling wear is visible around the body and cockpit. The open cockpit preserves the car's classic sports-racing profile. The Ferrari 512 S with starting number 3 took second place on 25 April 1970 during the legendary 1000 kilometers of Monza. This factory car from Scuderia Ferrari was driven by the iconic trio Ignazio Giunti, Nino Vaccarella and Chris Amon. Details of the race & car The 1970 edition was a fierce battle between the Ferrari 512 S and the Porsche 917K. The race was eventually won by the Porsche of Pedro Rodríguez and Leo Kinnunen. The Auto: The start number #3 was a Spyder variant (open roof) of the 512 S. The car was equipped with a powerful 5.0-litre V12 engine that had to compete in the World Sportscar Championship at the time. Chassis: This particular factory copy was flying the banner of SpA Ferrari SEFAC. Track use is part of the story of this used Fly Porsche 908 #36 in white BP livery from Zeltweg 1969. It still runs strongly after plenty of laps. Scuffs, scratches and dirt are visible, so the car would benefit from cleaning. The model is supplied on a black display base. The Porsche 908/02 Spyder with start number 36 (in the well-known white color scheme with green/yellow BP striping) refers to an iconic race car released by the well-known slot race manufacturer Fly Car Model (under reference number C13) as a model car at scale 1:32. Although the packaging of the miniature car mentions that the car finished 4th during the race in Zeltweg in 1969, historically there is a small error in this from the manufacturer. The historical reality behind the car The Race: It is the inauguration race at the brand new Österreichring near Zeltweg on July 27, 1969. This was a shorter, not for the championship counting race to open the circuit. The Driver: The legendary American Formula 1 and sports car driver Masten Gregory drove this specific car. The Result: Although the car was very fast, it was actually disqualified during this opening race. The car was struggling and Gregory was pushed over the line by his fellow driver Richard Broström. Where does the "4th place" come from? The confusion of model car manufacturer Fly is due to the race that took place two weeks later on the same circuit: the official 1000 kilometers of Zeltweg on August 10, 1969. During that World Cup race, Masten Gregory and Richard Broström formed a team in a similar Porsche 908/02. They started from the 7th place and finished there handsomely as 4th overall. However, during that race the car did not drive with start number 36 (which was Gregory's number during the opening race), but with start number 11. Fly accidentally combined these two events and start numbers on their presentation box at the time. Technical specifications of the real car Engine: 3.0-litre air-cooled Flat-8 (eight-cylinder boxer engine). Power: Approximately 350 hp at 8,500 rpm. Chassis: An extremely lightweight open Spyder body (only about 600 kg) with an aluminum tube frame.
