This Reprotec kit builds into the Fiat Abarth 1000 #23 shown in blue and white. The clear packaging displays the body, chassis parts and separate white components.

The new 1:32 set is intended for assembly, with race number 23 already applied to the body. Its reference is RT-1956.

The Fiat Abarth 1000 #23 refers in the racing world and model making to specific versions of the legendary compact racer from the 60's and 70's. Depending on the context, the term can be traced back to the following two meanings:
1. Historic car race (1965)
In the real motorsport history, the Fiat Abarth 1000 TC with starting number 23 was part of the fourth round of the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) on the circuit of Zolder in 1965. The car was registered by the Racing Team S.A.S. and driven by Dutch driver Philip Keller.
2. Slotcars and Modeling
The number #23 is very popular among collectors of racing aircraft and slot cars (racetracks). There are two well-known scale models that mimic this particular car:

BRM Model Cars (Scale 1:24): BRM has released the Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR #23 "Segafredo Special Edition" (Code: BRM-SC05). This model is based on a car that was driven by Ruud Bom during the DAMC 05 at the Nürburgring in 2007. The car is equipped with an aluminum chassis and a camber system.
Reprotec (Scale 1:32): This brand released the Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR #23 "Italia 70". This scale model is recognizable by a striking blue-and-white colour scheme and is fully compatible with traditional racetracks such as Scalextric and Carrera.

Main specifications of the original Abarth 1000 (Berlina/TC)
If you are looking for the performance of the real classic:

Base: Based on the chassis of the iconic Fiat 600.
Engine: 982 cc four-cylinder (often with the famous "Radial" or double-camper Bialbero cylinder head).
Feature: The cars were known for their wide-ranging wheel arches and the permanently open tailgate, which served for additional cooling and aerodynamic stability
