The Real Car

Important details about the #63:

Chassis: Ford GT40 Mk I (chassis P/1029, silver with a red, white and blue center stripe).

Owner / Team: Ordered by William 'Bill' McKelvy / Scuderia Bear.

Drivers: R. Holquist and M. Wyllie (the car was driven earlier that year in March by Bruce Jennings and Richard Holquist during the 12 hours of Sebring, where they became 13th overall and 2nd in the S5.0 class).

Lot: The car did not make the start of the race in June 1966 after a heavy crash during the training sessions on the Mulsanne straight. The chassis was returned to Ford Advanced Vehicles, usable parts were sold and the chassis was scrapped
