The real Ferrari 250 GTO with race number #46 is an iconic racing car with chassis number 3943GT. The car was bought new in late 1962 by French steel industry and driver Pierre Noblet.

The car is instantly recognizable by its red body, finished with an overly French tricolore stripe (blue, white, red). The GTO with number #46 achieved its most legendary result during the 1000 km of the Nürburgring in 1963, where Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet drove the car to a spectacular 2nd place overall and the class victory.

Key historical facts:

Chassis number: 3943GT
Owner/Coureur: Pierre Noblet (often together with Jean Guichet)
Highlight: 1st in the GT class and 2nd overall during the Nürburgring 1000km of 1963. In addition, the exact same car (then among other racing numbers) won its class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1962 (2nd general).
Specifications: Equipped with the legendary 3.0-litre Tipo 168/62 V12 engine with six Weber carburetors, good for approximately 300 hp.

Because chassis 3943GT has such a pure and successful racing history without heavy crashes, this particular example is among the absolute top pieces among the 36 produced GTOs. The car is so famous that premium model car manufacturers such as the Amalgam Collection and Kyosho have released extremely detailed scale models of it based on digital scans of the real car.
