The Carrera Evolution Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird No.42 (article no. 25720) is a sought after 1:32 scale model analog slotcar from a legendary American muscle car. This particular model is the performance of the iconic driver Dan Gurney with whom he rode on the Riverside circuit in 1970.

Here are the main features and specifications of this slotcar at a glance:
Technical Specifications & Characteristics

Scale: 1:32

Drive: Analog system (Carrera Evolution), powered by a powerful inline E200 engine.

Guide: Double drag contacts (double-contact brushes) for optimal contact with the track.

Lighting: This specific model is not equipped with working lighting by Carrera.
Conversion possibilities: The car can easily be made digital for Carrera Digital 132 jobs with the separately available Carrera digital chip 26732.

Background of the Model
This model is an official replica of the Plymouth Superbird. The real car was developed by Plymouth in 1970 as an aerodynamic 'winged warrior' monster to lead Richard Petty and Dan Gurney to victory in the NASCAR races, among others. With this model, Carrera has accurately recreated the striking high rear wing, the pointed nose and the authentic livery and decals of start number 42.

Because this model has been out of production for some time, it is nowadays a popular collectible that can still be found mainly through specialty stores or platforms such as eBay.
